County Coronavirus Cases Level, But Deaths Rise

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Southern Nevada Health District added 488 new coronavirus cases to Clark County's total on Thursday, bringing that total to 50,569.

The virus-related death toll in Clark County rose by 27 to 869. It was the highest single-day rise in a week, and the 3rd straight day that the virus-related death toll was in double digits.

Statewide, the latest figures from Nevada Health Response shows that there are currently 58,650 COVID-19 cases (up 602) overall, while the virus-related death toll increased to 1030 (a jump of 34). 

The daily positivity test rate dropped to 14.2% (from 12.7%), while the cumulative positivity test rate held steady at 10.5%. Hospitalizations of confirmed COVID-19 cases was down by 30, while the number of COVID patients in ICUs decreased by 8.
