Football got a chance to be in the Olympics when it was added as a demonstration sport at the 1932 games in Los Angeles . . . but it bombed, and has never been considered again.

The first phone book was published in 1878 in New Haven, Connecticut. It didn’t have phone numbers . . . just a list of subscribers, and you’d call the operator and ask to be connected to one of them.

Jethro Tull was a real person . . . he was a British agricultural pioneer in the 1700. The band picked the name when a guy at their booking agency suggested it, because he was a big history buff.  And somehow it stuck.

The single “American Idiot” by Green Day only made it to number 61 on the Billboard chart in America . . . but it was a top five song in Canada, the U.K., South Africa, and New Zealand. It’s almost like they’re trying to tell us something.
